Genital Warts

Genital Warts are a common sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by certain strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV). The infection can be passed on by vaginal, oral, and anal sex, as well as by sharing sex toys (although this is rare), and leads to small growths or bumps on the genital and anal areas. Genital Warts can cause bleeding during intercourse and, if untreated, can grow and coalesce together resulting in a cauliflower like appearance. HPV vaccines can help prevent infection with the virus types that cause genital warts.
